{"id":22,"date":"2010-02-01T00:00:20","date_gmt":"2010-01-31T23:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leo.grassi.eu.org\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2010-03-04T10:27:39","modified_gmt":"2010-03-04T09:27:39","slug":"me-and-rugby","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/leo.grassi.eu.org\/?page_id=22","title":{"rendered":"What about rugby?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, what about me and rugby then?<\/p>\n<p>I come from a Region of Italy where rugby has got a very relevant tradition. <\/p>\n<p>The Capital of my Region, <a href=\"http:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/L%27Aquila_Rugby\">L&#8217;Aquila<\/a>, which you may have, unfortunately, heard about because of the recent hearthquake, won five italian First Division titles, last one in 1994. <\/p>\n<p>Nowdays, they are back in the first italian division (Super 10) after some time spent in the second.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lorenzo_Sebastiani\">Lorenzo Sebastiani<\/a>, was a very young and talented prop, belonging to the young national team.<\/p>\n<p>He passed away because of the hearthquake, while trying to save several old people&#8230; he had already saved some of those, carrying them over his back, but a second, sudden tremor caught him underneath&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I love rugby. I&#8217;ve  never played, but when I was very young, I was used to follow all the 5 Nations matches at the telly.<\/p>\n<p>At that time there wasn&#8217;t Italy yet. Tvs were black\/white (at least mine). And I remember very well athmospheres, sounds&#8230; and comments from the Italian broadcasting former commentator, <a href=\"http:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paolo_Rosi\">Paolo Rosi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All this is still very clear to me&#8230; even today where I&#8217;m able to see, to listen and to comment on them on my own as a live spectator and (somehow) expert.<\/p>\n<p>And my thoughts go to Lorenzo Sebastiani&#8230;which will not be able to do the same anymore&#8230; as a player, actually.<\/p>\n<p>This is for you Lorenzo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, what about me and rugby then?
